15 May AT HOME EXERCISES: Standing Hamstring Stretch
Begin in a standing upright position with a chair or step in front of your body.
Lift one leg to rest your heel on the chair with a very slight bend in your knee. Bending at your hips, only lean your trunk forward if after sticking your bottom out, you do not feel the stretch. The if need be lean forward until you feel a stretch in the back of your upper leg and hold.
Make sure to keep your back straight during the stretch. Also, keep your knee slightly bent – this is really important so as to offload your tendons and neural tissue.
